To upgrade skills to international standards, significant industry involvement is crucial. Developing frameworks for standards, curriculum, and quality assurance is essential for ensuring the quality of skill development initiatives. Enhancing, supporting, and coordinating Government Sector efforts in skill development through appropriate models is key. Seeking operational and financial support from the Government sector is important for sustainability. Acting as a 'market-maker' by attracting funds, especially in sectors with ineffective market mechanisms, can drive skill development forward. Prioritizing initiatives with a multiplier effect over one-off impacts can create lasting and widespread benefits in the skill development landscape.
